1. Isaac Mao(China): Venture capitalist, blogger, software architect, entrepreneur and researcher in learning and social technology. He is now Vice President of United Capital Investment Group and Director to Social Brain Foundation, advisor to Global Voices Online and several web 2.0 businesses. He divides his time between research, social works, business and technology.

2. Cai Ming(China); CEO of Kebao & Boloni Kitchen & Bathroom Furniture Co., Ltd, who introduced the core concept of an integrated home equipment décor and design solution as a basic component of modern lifestyle to China. Founder of Beijing Gaobeidian art district which merges art, living quarters, design, creation, and leisure.

Isaac Mao:

As one of the earliest bloggers in the Chinese community, Isaac is not only co-founder of CNBlog.org which is the earliest evangelizing site in China on grassroots publishing, but also the co-organizer of Chinese Blogger Conference (2005 in Shanghai, 2006 in Hangzhou). The CNBlog team then transformed into Social Brain Foundation (SBF) later on to promote free culture in China covering Free Access, Free Speech and Free Thinking areas. The current project SBF is supporting includes Ideas Factory, Open Education and Creative Commons China, etc.

Isaac is also a global bridge in blogosphere. He is regular speaker/keynote to Wikimania, Chinese Internet Conference and other global internet cultural events. As a trained software engineer, he has a long history leads developing both business and consumer software. He worked as a Chief Architect in Intel HomeCD project and Tangram BackSchool suite. He applied many HCI methodogies into software design process and improved the usability of software so much. He turns to Social Computing research and organized the first Social Software Forum in China.

Isaac Mao earned BS degree in Computer Science and got MBA training program at Shanghai Jiaotong University. Isaac is also a pedagogy consultant to some local institutions. He acts as advisors for some local hi-tech firms on their business strategy. Isaac Mao was listed as the people of "2006-2016, Map of the Decade", by Institute for the Future. He is also as director of Shanghai Youth Development Foundation. Mao recently made waves in the technology and business world with his open letter to Google, challenging the search engine giant to support anti-censorship efforts and change its China strategy.

Cai Ming:

Three years ago, the ten year old luxury furniture brand Boloni Home Décor purchased a furniture factory in the Gaobeidian area of Beijing in the hopes of establishing its own factory district. Soon afterwards, the area was incorporated into the CBD business district. Boloni was determined to look towards the future and contribute to future city planning based on its status as a professional business, and to advocate a unique and prominent art district that would be completely integrated with the creative industry.

Whereupon, in the area that connects CBD and Tongzhou named "Beihuayuan" by Kublai Khan, Boloni Home Decor together with Thinking Hands Co.,LTD, the curators of the Dangdai International Art Festival (DIAF), attempted to construct a district that merges art, living quarters, design, creation, and leisure -- the GBD Art District. The plan involves six blocks on 450,000m2 of land and includes: the Industrial Renewal Art District; the Flagship Store Street with international top brand stores; the New Scene of Qingming Shanghe Street that is a fusion of traditional culture; the Peach Blossom Island that is a recreation area with bars and clubs; the Creative Land that houses an open air venue for avant garde art; the Business District with a high class hotel and conference center. This six block area is slated for completion in 2010.

Three years later, GBD is about to implement this contemporary and open spirited spatial experiment: art for life, art for people.
