Gerben Mak is Director Global Portfolio Management at Logica. In this role, Gerben and his team manage the lifecycle of Logica's worldwide portfolio: where to invest, what to improve and how to meet client business needs with innovative technology. Gerben has a passion for driving innovation into Logica's current business.
Gerben studied Business Economics at the University of Maastricht (NL) and graduated in Organisational Sciences and Marketing. Building working experience with BMW Group NL, IBM Benelux and KPN Mobile in his first years, Gerben discovered entrepreneurship in 1999. He was co-founder of an innovative mobile marketing agency “Unwired Concepts”, which was integrated by Logica (formerly CMG) in 2001. Since then, Gerben has developed a business innovation practice, working for innovation-eager companies like Rabobank and Philips. By the end of 2006, Gerben was appointed as Director Innovation, to further grow Logica's business innovation. In 2010, Gerben switched to Logica's global organisation.
Gerben is especially passionate about cross media related developments, such as mobile internet and web3.0 in paving the way for the mobile phone to become the “remote control for life”.
Gerben was appointed PICNIC Boardmember in May 2008.
