He is co-founder of VURB, a European framework for policy and design research concerning urban computational systems. The VURB foundation, based in Amsterdam, provides direction and resources to a portfolio of projects investigating how our cultures might come to use networked digital resources to change the way we understand, build, and inhabit cities.

And he is founder of Viral Radio, an experimental platform for electronic music. Viral Radio has a biweekly radio show on public network VPRO 3voor12, and hosts a monthly club night at one of Amsterdam's most impressive clubs TrouwAmsterdam. Viral Radio also collaborates with jazz and improvised music venue Bimhuis, social music platform CDR, and project space De Verdieping.
