I started working for Mediamatic in August 2006. I'm producing and coordinating the workshop program and the Hacker Camps.
I love music, books, New York, cult- and arthouse cinema, Berlin, Paris, Palais de Tokyo, graffiti, (contemporary) art, photography, nature, forests, sleeping, hanging around (preferably with beer and nice company), sneakers, Edamame's, animals (I don't eat them) and clean air (if this still exists).
(Sometimes I have a big and foul mouth)
No life without music: Experimental, avant-garde, abstract and electronic stuff, noisy-punk, some new-wave, doom metal and Japanese noise. But I also love jazz, hip-hop, (contemporary) classical, weird minimal music and depending on my mood every now and then some grindcore-ish stuff... Oh, and I hate almost all the music you hear on the radio or on MTV, especially singer-songwriters make my stomach turn.
I love writers, artists, fashion designers and film makers: Steven Parrino, Morton Feldman, Hiroshi Teshigahara, Rei Kawakubo (Comme des Garcons), Banks Violette, Haruki Murakami, Kenzaburo Oe, Ryu Murakami, Kaneto Shindo, Iannis Xenakis, Rick Owens, Junya Watanabe (Comme des Garcons), Banana Yoshimoto, Andrei Tarkovsky, Kobo Abe, Yoshitomo Nara, Bela Tarr, Mark Rothko, Richard Serra, Merzbow, Chris Marker, Allen Ginsberg, Guy Bourdin, David Lynch. But actually many other artists and writers as well. Old(er) ones, dead ones, but also new ones. Unfortunately Steven P. is already dead.
